KENNY MELLMAN

I have been working so hard with my band  these last few weeks on getting all our songs ready for a final mix.  I just thought in my mind right now  how fucking blessed i am to be able to sit in a room with Kathleen Hanna, Kathi Wilcox, Carmine Covelli and Sara Landau and make this music.  And at some point soon, you all will be able to hear it.  I feel like for years I was a live artist; performing almost nightly and the little recorded output that is out there of those years is such a small part of what I cherished about that time.  Listening to the mixes of the songs for The Julie Ruin’s upcoming album makes me proud and stuff!  leaving a legacy.
